Doodle - Aegis

More practicing things.  Mostly blending, some form.  I'm happy with this one in particular for a couple reasons; first it was done in two days (roughly approx. 10 hours from start to finish), and second, expressiveness.  If it wasn't evident by my gallery, I suck at drawing things with expressive, uh...expressions.  Ms. Aegis here is one of the first drawings I've done who isn't bearing some grim-faced, tight-lipped, I-hate-the-world expression (just "Fuck yo magic beam").  Bonus points for a more action-y pose; maybe it doesn't evoke the feeling of motion, but it does evoke the feeling of digging your feet/hooves into the ground, at least as I see it.

The good news is, then, twofold.  First, if I continue to demonstrate this vastly accelerated speed when it comes to drawing, I may or may not offer commissions (in some funky/bizarre way and possibly with an unusual pricing model).  Second, if this keeps up, I'll be able to do a much wider range of expressions than I can right now (which is maybe four?).

Credit where credit is due: I traced this for the shield.  I'd like to point out that a perfectly spherical tesselation of regular hexagons is actually impossible, hence the penta/septagons hiding in there.  SO SUE ME.  MAYBE BEES DO THAT TOO EH?  (Relevant TVTropes page).
